Garbage
Syona, you want to take out the trash with dada? YAH. Since she was 9-10 month old, I would take syona with me to the backyard to rollout the recycling and garbage bins. She learn to enjoy this process because to get to the backyard, I would carry her underneath the redwood trees and the prickly branches would tickle her and make her laugh. So this last month, we went to go get the bins again- actually, she walked to the back herself and wanted to take out the bins. As we got to the backyard area, since she was walking on her own this time, she saw the close door and said Uh-Oh. Then she paused and kneeled down to pick up a small stick. That was really funny to me because that is what I usually do to open the backyard door- there is a small string that I use the stick to pick and pull on to open the door. What I like about this story is that I never told her that this was what needs to be done to open the door. She just observe and I guess we did this trash routine enough times that she remembered that this is the trick I do to get the door open. Amazing
