We moved to our new house in the first week of November. It was bitter sweet leaving our first humble little abode, but we got over it really quick :) It was though, the place where we lived when we were married, had both of our kids, where I got my new job, where we celebrated our first xmas together, where we returned after paul's dad's funeral, and hearing about bapuji, and learning about pravin fua and vilas faiba, and sweet little mckenna. But good times too like spa parties, and xmas parties with friends, and new years eve at home, and building our baby room, and dreaming about our lives to come.
But the new house is better because it's bigger and nicer and we don't have to have our kids in closets anymore. Amen. The move was tiring as can be expected. But we hired movers and it went pretty smoothly, It was nice to have a nanny to help us through the transition. It was nice getting a place move-in condition. Syona was excited to see the truck and walked up the ramp. Also, when we showed her the new house a few days before we moved in, she was running through the house sooo excited. She asked if the master was her room. We set up her toddler bed in her room which she transitioned to seamlessly. The kids adjusted really well. For the we are happy (and the little mouse is gone too). hurray!
