Baby Bumbo chair

We got a bumbo chair for baby Kyran so he can enjoy sitting at circle time with his friends at school starting next week. This is his pic on his first day of school! September 26, 2011!

Syona and Muma's haircut

Face painting done at Kaiser Fair on Diwali
Muma got a haircut so naturally Syona wanted one as well. We both have bangs now! And baby kyran has bangs too!

Legoland

We did it. Yes, that's a Dora the Explorer quote, but we really did do it. We chucked the kids in the car and drove down to Carlsbad for a week of swimming, legoland and sleeping in the same room. Next time, I think I will make sure we book a suite because 2 is company, 3 is a crowd and 4 is past the speed limit. It's was really fun being with the kids though, and nice to have Paul home from work on paternity leave for the week. Syona braved the rides (after taking a break on rides for a while since Disney), and even drove the cars meant for 3 year olds. (Paul told her to lie and say she was 3 so she could ride the cars, so when the person asked her how old she was , without hesitation she said, "I am 3 years old.") Legoland was nice for the little kiddos, I think Syona was a really good age for it. She definately knew we were on vacation and was excited to be in a hotel, go swimming with Dad at 9:30 at night and "look for food" on the day southern cali experienced a power outage because some guy tripped on a wire. That night we had yogurt and grapes for dinner, but other than that it was a super fun trip. One say we even did the waterpark and another day the aquarium. It was nice having a mall accross the street so I got a little shopping fix in too.

Adorable

That's what nai nai likes to say about baby kyran. In fact, that's what a lot of peeps have been saying lately. I remember folks stopping to say what a cute baby girl with Syona monster, but baby kyran certainly attracts a fair amount of attention himself. I think when I hold him up at the mall and am paying at the cashier, I think he is smiling at the people behind me. So they start talking to him and then he starts giggling. It's really cute. He likes smiling at all the girls when I go to a salon or get my eyebrows done and they laugh and comment on how friendly he is. He has this way of focussing in on you and then opening up with an open-mouth smile and then laughing. His voice is different than Syona's too, I remember. I know he's a baby but he sounds like a boy.
