Halloween

Belle and Simba
It was baby kyran's first halloween this year and he was simba! We got syona the Lion King movie this year and everytime we see little newborn simba syona and I say, look, it's baby kyran. so cute, like when he sneezes and when the monkey holds him up. Anyways, we had a simba and a little belle. Syona had a fun halloween party at school (like she does every year), and we all went to the school mid-day (paul, kyran, me) and even brought our nanny too! It was so fun to see how much Syona has grown from last year when she was crying and clingy to me and wouldn't walk around in the circle parade. This year, she was holding Miss Elena's hand and walking and looking around and waving to me when she saw me. We paused with her took some pictures with baby kyran too. Halloween was the following Monday and we took the kids trick-o-treating. Syona had a lot of fun, and didn't cry this year although she was still scared of the scary houses. She kept saying she wanted to go to all the houses and get all the candy. Baby Kyran fell asleep trick-o-treating in my arms. Syona also had a lot of fun handing out candy. Even when she was just out of her bath and the doorbell rang, she ran up behind me all naked and I had to cover her up hahaa. Paul dressed up as a doctor this year, and I was a nurse. We borrowed Dr. Madhu's white coat and even went to an adult halloween party over the weekend before halloween!

Diwali Celebration at Monster's school

We are back logged on our blog posts. Could it be because we are taking care or both our monsters? maybe.

OK, so here are some pics from Syona's Diwali celebration at school that happened on October 26. This was a week or so before our big move. Of course she was excited to wear her pretty pretty!

Chocolate high

For baby Kyran's half year birthday, we took him out to PF Chang's (probably more like we took ourselves out). The highlight of the dinner would be the desert time. We asked for a birthday treat for baby Kyran, more for the picture than the actual dessert. To our surprise though, when I gave a little taste of the chocolate to Kyran, his reaction was immediately happy. He then did something new where instead of requesting for another taste, he demanded it by crying in sharp fake cries. It was a pretty funny site to see. However, the real topper was when we walked around the mall, he got into a pretty happy "chocolate high" mood. He was literally laughing belly laughs for at least 4-5 minutes. Several passers-by stopped and commented "isn't this the best?"
It really is.

Can I do one more

For few weeks since coming back from Legoland, Syona has picked up the habit of going to toilet before going to sleep. This is a good thing, though I'm not sure whether it started because she wanted to stretch out her waking hours just a bit more. It is now fairly routine for her to push a few surprises out. It would take her a good time of at least 15 minutes sitting on the potty before she poo poos... When she does she gets so happy and exclaims "I did a poopoo"...Then comes the next question - the title of the post - "Can I do one more?" then finally comes the last exclamation "I'm going to do ten poo poos" Now that we have this routine down, we just have to figure out a way to push up the time up. She has been sneaking bedtime into the 9 o'clock time, and I'm trying to tell her that she needs to go to bed by 8.

Baby Kyran's Nanny

So we tried My Dream Academy for Baby Kyran in the 1-2 year old class. Miss Claudia and Sintia were great and did their best to help Baby Kyran adjust. Unfortunately he was just too little. He had a different schedule, needed help with his bottles, napped odd hours and just needed a lot more attention all around. He sat in his bumbo chair in class with his friends in circle time though which was so precious and all the little babies were like babybaby! so cute. So it was a mutual decision to take him out and we called up Miss Carol who we had previously interviewed and she started that Monday. She's been great!
